A dramatic event shocked the world of football and France in the last few hours with the suicide threat of Alexis Beka Beka, a player from Niza.
The footballer was rescued in time by firefighters when he threatened to jump from a viaduct. According to French media, as a result of this, Niza requested the postponement of their match against Brest on Sunday for the Ligue 1.
The incident took place at the Magnan bridge on the A8 highway near the French Mediterranean city. Niza, who had a training session open to the press scheduled, requested the departure of journalists and announced that they will postpone the pre-match press conference for their league match against Brest on Sunday.
The coach, Francesco Farioli, and the defender Jean-Clair Todibo, formerly of Barcelona, were also going to participate in the same. Firefighters, police officers, gendarmes, and a psychologist sent by the club have been transferred to the scene, the media reported.
