Jean Ferrari, manager of Universitario de Deportes, talks about the future of Jorge Fossati as the team's coach
In statements to the press, the head of the team recalled that the experienced Uruguayan strategist has a two-year contract and, so far, the board is satisfied with his work, as they are fighting for the top spot in the Clausura Tournament.
"He has a two-year contract. It is clear that he is one of the best coaches to have come to Peruvian football. His continuity is not in any discussion. One of the first things I talked about with Antonio (García Pye) was that, and Manuel (Barreto) is convinced about sustainability. Surely, we will continue next year," he said.
ABOUT SIGNINGS
Ferrari also spoke about the topic of signings for next year, in that sense, he pointed out that he is coordinating with the sports director, Manuel Barreto, and the new external advisor, Antonio García Pye.
"I'm focused on the budget issue. There are very interesting topics for next year. When I have the numbers, I will have to negotiate in relation to what Manuel (Barreto) -in conversations with Antonio (García Pye)- can bring me," he said.
