In one of the best matches of the first round of the Champions League, Bayern Munich defeated Manchester United 4-3 at the Allianz Arena Stadium.

The Bavarian fans had to wait until the 28th minute to celebrate Leroy Sané's goal. The attacking player shot from twenty meters and the goalkeeper Onana couldn't control it.

The second goal would come in the 32nd minute after midfielder Jamal Musiala found his teammate Serge Gnabry free. The forward took a left-footed shot that couldn't be saved by the United goalkeeper.

At the start of the second half, the English team managed to get back into the game and scored in the 49th minute through the striker Höljund.

The joy for Erik Ten Hag's team would be short-lived as Harry Kane converted a penalty in the 53rd minute, making it 3-1.

To bring excitement to the match, Casemiro scored from the ground in the 88th minute to make it 3-2. The Germans wanted to make their home advantage count and it wasn't until the 92nd minute that 18-year-old Mathys Tel made it 4-2. Once again, Casemiro appeared in the 95th minute with a header to mark the final score of 4-3.

With this victory, Bayern Munich is the sole leader of Group A with 3 points. In the next Champions League matchday, the Germans will have to visit Denmark to play against Copenhagen.
