Cruiserweight Classic Opening Ceremony

On the night of today, June 23rd, the first set of recordings of the Cruiserweight Classic took place, the tournament where WWE has gathered the best cruiserweight wrestlers from around the world. Although it will not be available to watch on WWE Network for another three weeks, Triple H transmitted the opening ceremony through Facebook Live.

For the first time, we were able to hear the commentary team of Mauro Ranallo and Daniel Bryan, who gave the broadcast a completely different touch than the usual WWE, both with extensive knowledge about wrestling from around the world.

The tournament opened with the introduction of the 32 superstars who will participate, representing 16 different countries.

The only change we could find from the original list was the absence of Zumbi, who, as we had already mentioned in SÚPER LUCHAS, was left out of the tournament. In his place, and representing Pakistan, we had Mustafa Ali.

The presence of so many young talents, the excitement and knowledge in the narration of Ranallo and Bryan, and the unusual television format with an emphasis on the internationality of the participants bodes well for what we will see in the Cruiserweight Classic.

On Wednesday, July 6th, after NXT, there will be a special where Daniel Bryan, Mauro Ranallo, Corey Graves, and Triple H will discuss the tournament, which will start airing on July 13th.
