André Jardine is doubtful to coach the National Classic
Coach André Jardine of América was successfully operated on for appendicitis in the early hours of Tuesday, and it is unknown whether he will be able to coach the team against Chivas.
In a statement, the Club informed that "our Technical Director André Jardine was successfully operated on for acute appendicitis this morning. The recovery time will depend on his progress." As a result, training sessions and scheduled activities will not have the presence of the Brazilian coach. His assistant, Paulo Víctor Rodríguez, will be in charge of the team.

Preview of América vs Chivas at Coapa
One of the most special weeks for América has arrived. Next Saturday, the América Eagles will host the Chivas Rayadas del Guadalajara at the Azteca Stadium, in another edition of the national classic.
A game that presents many considerations for the blue and cream team, especially because in the first days of training, André Jardine will not have his full squad to outline this commitment.
With seven absences due to international call-ups, América begins preparations for the National Classic next Saturday. Coach Jardine was not present, as he was operated on early this morning. @higypop
Two players in the senior Mexican national team: Luis Malagón and Kevin Álvarez; one player in the U23 team: Ramón Juárez. Two Uruguayan players: Sebastián Cáceres and Brian Rodríguez; one Paraguayan player: Richard Sánchez; and one Chilean player: Diego Valdés.
All of these players will have activity on Tuesday and will start returning to their normal activities and returning to the country by Wednesday. Therefore, it will not be until Thursday when André Jardine begins working on the field to prepare for Saturday's match.

On the other hand, Israel Reyes is working on his recovery after the thigh tear he suffered in the match against Cruz Azul.
Meanwhile, Néstor Araujo, the Mexican defender, has already joined the team's training sessions after the injury he suffered in the knee at the Leagues Cup. It will be a matter of seeing how he evolves physically to determine if he will be considered for the call-up on Saturday.
Will América make more signings?
Lastly, regarding the transfer market, which closes on Wednesday, the management continues to explore options to incorporate a possible foreign central defender. However, due to the complexity of the negotiations, it is also highly likely that there will be no more signings and that the squad will remain as it is.
