The same institution, which has Jean Ferrari as temporary administrator, has stated that they have secured an income of 94 million soles for this year 2023, a figure that exceeds the 44 million that the club received back in 2018.
"Improving our income was our hope of staying alive. We went from 44 million soles collected for all concepts in 2018, to a guaranteed income of 94 million soles this year 2023. 74 million already collected plus 20 million to be collected for the rest of the year. This has been achieved because we have put order with a professional team that truly loves the institution and is allowing us to generate trust and credibility", reported Nancy Corzo, manager of administration and finance at Universitario.
"We are stabilizing the club financially by, among other issues, reducing the current debt and starting to pay the concursal debt within the viability plan structured and substantiated before SUNAT", she added.

Regarding this news, it has not pleased the Organized Partners of Alianza Lima, who expressed through their official Twitter account accusing "alarming impunity" for -according to them- being the only team capable of choosing when to start paying its debt.
"Can you imagine a scenario where all the teams in bankruptcy would have been able to have the freedom to say 'we inform that starting in 2024 we will pay the concursal debt'? The impunity of this case is alarming in plain sight of all the authorities", is the message they launched from their social network.
