Ángelo Campos was accused by his former partner and mother of their child, Yharif Figueroa, of physically and psychologically assaulting her. After the goalkeeper of Club Alianza Lima was released, the accuser decided to speak out through an extensive statement in which she talks about the situation she had to go through during these years.
Last Friday, August 25th, Magaly Medina's program revealed that the goalkeeper was arrested by the National Police following the accusation of Yharif Astrid Figueroa Hidalgo, who stated that Campos mistreated her at his residence.
However, this Monday, August 28th, the Second Investigation Court of Surco rejected the request for immediate proceedings requested by the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Peruvian athlete was released after the hearing concluded.
Furthermore, in the last few hours, two videos have been released showing Yharif Figueroa assaulting Campos' alleged other partner. On the other hand, the second clip shows the couple arguing about what happened at the Airbnb.
Former partner of Ángelo Campos speaks out about the accusation and leaked videos
The former partner of the goalkeeper of Alianza Lima decided to break her silence and speak out through her Instagram account about the domestic violence accusation, the leaked videos, and her relationship with the father of her child.
"Regarding the circulating videos, they correspond to events that occurred on Wednesday, July 12th, when I discovered my now ex-partner Ángelo Campos... The second (video) does not reflect everything that happened that day, because, even in that video, my ex-partner makes false statements, trying to distort the situation and seeking to harm my image," she said.
"During these 10 years of relationship, my child and I have accompanied my ex-partner to different provinces where he has worked, with the length of stay in each of them being uncertain, and I have been entirely responsible for taking care of my child and our home. Naturally, I have depended on my ex-partner economically, as domestic work, in my case, is not paid," added Yharif Figueroa Hidalgo.
"I have been criticized in various media regarding why I did not report earlier. I want to say that reporting has not been an easy decision for me, since, as seen, I have been exposed and my child as well to a public situation, being judged and criticized, casting doubt on my accusation," she concluded in the statement.
