David Ostrosky, well-known actor of Mexican soap operas, has passed away on August 17, according to the National Association of Interpreters in the country. What happened?
At the age of 66, and with much more talent to offer in front of television cameras, the artist died leaving behind a community of fans, friends, and family who mourn his sudden departure.
"The National Association of Interpreters announces the sensitive death of member and interpreter David Ostrosky. Remembered for his performances in great soap operas like 'El vuelo del águila' and 'La antorcha encendida', his last work was 'Vencer la ausencia'. Rest in peace," reads the published text.
He became famous with more than 40 productions since 1984, but it was with "María Mercedes" and "Teresa" that he became more popular in the industry, showcasing his talent to interpret different characters.
David Ostrosky suffered the amputation of his arm
As it is known, some time ago the actor mentioned in an interview that he had severe pain in his arm, so he went to the doctor to evaluate what he had. Based on this, he underwent a study which revealed that he had a tumor, which despite all the treatments, could not be eliminated.
Therefore, Ostrosky had to undergo emergency surgery, in an operation that directly affected his arm. It was amputated to prevent the spread of what he was suffering to the rest of his body.
However, despite all this, it is ruled out that his unfortunate death was caused by this situation that afflicted him in May 2023. The reasons for his death are still unclear and have not been published.
