The dream of many children is to debut in their country's First Division, but not all achieve it. In fact, the longing takes on a greater sentimental value if you achieve it with the club that formed you, just like Jhilmar Lora, who was able to fulfill a first objective with Sporting Cristal. After several seasons at the Celestial Club, the national player achieved his renewal, which caused him to be unable to hide his happiness for the new goal achieved: consolidation.
"Very happy to continue in my home, in the club that has helped me in so many things. One of my dreams is to leave, and very happy to extend the contract until 2025," said the Celestial player in an interview with the club's press department.
On the other hand, Jhilmar Lora gave details of the difficult schedule that awaits Sporting Cristal in the Liga 1 Betsson, where they must accumulate as many points as possible to catch up with Universitario de Deportes in first place in the Clausura Tournament.
"Every week is complicated and this one will be a little more because we have two matches. First, we will play in Piura, which is super difficult, and then, here at home. We are convinced of bringing the three points back," added the player from the Celestial team.
Not leaving La Florida
In the last hours, Sporting Cristal confirmed that right-back Jhilmar Lora renewed his contract until 2025. His performances for the Celestial Club also allowed him to have more than one chance in the Peruvian National Team (he has played 28 matches this season).
In this scenario, in the Rimac, they considered it opportune to extend his contract, especially after the rumors that began to circulate in the celestial corridors about a possible transfer of the player who was formed in the La Florida team. Yes, they put a 'lock' on him.
