The Peruvian diver Jorge Zegarra won the gold medal in the 10-meter diving category at the 2023 World Aquatics Masters Championships held in Kyushu Island, Japan. This makes him the first national representative to win a gold medal in a world championship.
At 71 years old, the popular 'Masa' also participated in the 3-meter springboard trials, finishing in fourth place just one point away from third place, as well as in the 1-meter springboard, finishing sixth.
