On Wednesday, August 2, Luciano Sánchez was discharged from the Finochietto Sanatorium, where he was hospitalized after the unfortunate injury he suffered in the match between Argentinos Juniors and Fluminense in the round of 16 of the Copa Libertadores.
Before going home, the defender of 'Bicho' stopped for a couple of minutes in front of the cameras waiting for him at the hospital exit.
"At first there was a lot of pain. It was important to stabilize the leg at the moment. I spent the night calm and without pain. We have to do some more tests and determine the surgery process," he said.
As we know, the injury came after an unfortunate play by the Brazilian Marcelo, who stepped on Sánchez's left leg; however, he knows it was unintentional and even received a message from the 'Flu' player.
"Marcelo wrote to me. I know it was unintentional. I admire him as a player and now also as a person. I have nothing to reproach him for, he should stay calm," he concluded.
