Chelsea are believed to be receptive to offers for Conor Gallagher this summer - just months after the Blues midfielder was left baffled by Todd Boehly and the club hierarchy during the January transfer window.
Gallagher, 23, has been the subject of transfer speculation for months. The Blues academy graduate enjoyed a breakthrough loan spell with Crystal Palace back in the 2021/22 campaign and was given the opportunity to stake a first-team claim at Stamford Bridge last term.
The midfielder is one of a number of players who could leave Chelsea this summer amid interest from rival Premier League clubs, but Gallagher also attracted interest back in January.
Everton were one of the clubs who were tentatively linked with Gallagher back then, and The Athletic have now revealed that Gallagher and his team were left 'bemused' by the club's decision to entertain a £45million proposal from the Toffees, who were fighting for survival at the foot of the Premier League.
The report goes on to outline that the decision to 'nudge' Gallagher, who had no appetite in discussing such a move, was not well received by the midfielder.
Although Gallagher still has no burning desire to leave Chelsea, it has been claimed that the Londoners have privately indicated to interested clubs that they would be willing to do a deal for the right price.
Newcastle and Tottenham have already been credited with an interest in Gallagher's services since the transfer window opened last month, while West Ham saw a £40m proposal rebuffed by the Blues at the weekend.

Gallagher clocked up 35 Premier League appearances for Chelsea last term but started less than half of that amount (17) during a season of turmoil for the Blues.
If one of Gallagher's suitors does table an adequate proposal in the coming weeks, then he would be the latest academy graduate to depart Stamford Bridge this summer.
Mason Mount left the club under a cloud amid a bitter contract dispute earlier this month to join Manchester United. Ruben Loftus-Cheek followed suit shortly after to join AC Milan in Serie A, while Trevoh Chalobah has also been linked with a permanent move.
Regardless of whether or not Gallagher stays put, Chelsea have continued their efforts to strike a deal with Brighton for their sought-after midfielder, Moises Caicedo.
The Ecuador international was the subject of bids from Arsenal back in January before seeing out the season on the South Coast. Chelsea have yet to meet Brighton's valuation of the player, though, which is said to be around £100m. The Londoners had a £70m bid rejected last week.
