Universitario lost against Corinthians and thus bid farewell to the Copa Sudamericana 2023.

One of the facts that caught the attention of the fans was that Annie del Carpio, a player from the women's team of 'U', showed her love for the cream team.

Through her social media, Annie del Carpio wrote an emotional message to reveal her love for Universitario. As expected, the fans supported her.

"I love you more every day," wrote Annie del Carpio accompanying her message with a yellow heart.

In the pre-match against Corinthians, Annie also left a message and pointed out that all of Peru should wear the Universitario de Deportes jersey.

"Today (Tuesday, July 18) all of Peru with this skin (Universitario). There are no excuses, give your soul and skin. And 'Dale U'!," expressed the goalkeeper of the 'Leonas'.

Annie del Carpio is a goalkeeper and was a figure of Alianza Lima's championship in 2021, managing to have an unbeaten goal. For the following season, the player failed to have continuity in the blanquiazul squad.

For the current season, Universitario announced the incorporation of Annie del Carpio. Since her arrival at the cream team, the goalkeeper has shown excitement for the challenge and promised to win the national title.
