Today, July 11th, the Colombian team Club Deportivo Palmira was crowned champion of the international tournament Liga Evolución Conmebol Sub 12 Futsal Femenina, which took place in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
In the final phase of the tournament, the players from Valle del Cauca faced the Argentinian team River Plate at the Olympic Sports Center in Quillacollo. The team led by Magally Escobar played an excellent match, winning with a score of 8-1.
The players had possession of the ball for most of the match, playing behind the Argentinian players and reaching River Plate's goal. From the closing position of the Palmira team, they tried to connect with the pivot player, resulting in the first goal of the Colombian team at the 14th minute of the first half. This was very beneficial for the team, as most of the goals came from these collective plays.
