In Chile, the government provides a variety of bonuses that are intended for different citizens according to their age, position, if they receive other benefits, and other requirements. The reason for these financial supports is to provide citizens with an additional income, which is very necessary for Chileans in these times.
One of these bonuses is the Winter Bonus 2023, which has been doubled at the request of the President of the Republic, Gabriel Boric. To find out more, Depor has prepared this article with information on amounts, how to check with RUT, and requirements to be a beneficiary.
When will the Winter Bonus 2023 be paid?
Beneficiaries will receive the amount along with their usual pension. Please note that 70% of the total was distributed in June and the remaining amount will be paid in July. You can also find out more about this on the Chile Atiende website.
What is the amount of the Winter Bonus 2023?
Thanks to the subsidy being doubled at the request of Gabriel Boric, those who receive the bonus in July will receive 74,767 pesos. This bonus will benefit thousands of Chileans who need extra support to cope with the country's situation.
Who are the beneficiaries of the Winter Bonus 2023?
- Pensioners of the Social Security Institute, the Labor Safety Institute, the Pension Funds, and the Employer Mutualities of Law No.16,744, whose pensions are equal to or less than the minimum old-age pension value mentioned in Article 26 of Law No.15,386, for pensioners aged 75 or older at the time of receiving the benefit.
- Pensioners under the system established in Decree Law No.3,500 of 1980 who are receiving minimum pensions with state guarantee according to Title VII of said legal body.
- Pensioners under the system established in the aforementioned decree law who are receiving a solidarity pension contribution, whose pensions are equal to or less than the minimum old-age pension value mentioned in Article 26 of Law No.15,386, for pensioners aged 75 or older at the time of receiving the benefit.
- Universal Guaranteed Pension beneficiaries, provided they are not entitled to another pension under any pension scheme.
- Pensioners under any pension scheme who also receive a Universal Guaranteed Pension and whose pensions are equal to or less than the minimum old-age pension value mentioned in Article 26 of Law No.15,386, for pensioners aged 75 or older at the time of receiving the benefit (Information from the Government of Chile).
