This afternoon, Alianza Lima informed that the investigations regarding the case of Christian Cueva, who missed the training on Monday, July 3, have concluded. In a statement, the club announced that they will respect the player's contract, although he will be subject to disciplinary measures.
"According to the internal regulations, the player's contract will be respected until the last day," the club stated in a message on social media. The player, who is also a member of the Peruvian National Team, is linked to the blanquiazul team until the end of August.
CUEVA'S ABSENCE
However, Cueva Bravo will not be called up by coach Guillermo Salas for the match against Sporting Cristal in the Liga 1, as he did not train with his teammates throughout the week due to the investigations, so he will not be included in the squad.
As you may remember, the 31-year-old player was authorized to travel to the city of Trujillo last weekend. However, the problem started when the former player of Sao Paulo and Toluca did not show up for training on Monday, sparking controversy.
