The future of Kylian Mbappe is heading towards a soap opera similar to the one experienced last year. The name of the Frenchman has once again come to the forefront of the summer transfer market, after announcing that he will not renew his contract beyond 2024 with PSG, and Real Madrid starts to appear on the horizon. However, things won't be so easy for Florentino Perez's wish to come true, as Mbappe's possible departure could become almost a state affair in France.
That's what has been known this Wednesday after the French president, Emmanuel Macron, spoke about the matter. In brief statements collected by the French media RMC Sport, the politician asserted that he will try to intervene in the future of Kylian Mbappe and that he will not facilitate his move to Real Madrid.
Thus, in response to a question from a young fan wearing the French striker's jersey, Macron assured that he would look into the situation of the current Paris Saint-Germain forward: "I have no news from him, but I will try to pressure him to stay".
