A TikToker asked several foreigners what they thought when they heard Peru, the answers were varied, but one caught more attention.

Peru is one of the most well-known gastronomic destinations worldwide. So much so, that many foreigners are aware of what happens in our country. Proof of this is a video that shook the social networks a few weeks ago. What happened? We'll tell you.

Through his TikTok account (ivoadler), millions of users were able to find out how European citizens perceive Peruvian society. With the title: "What do they know and think about Peru in Europe?", many gave varied answers, which surprised the Peruvian community, especially one observation.

The content creator, Ivan Adler, decided to carry out a sort of survey with the question "I say Peru to you, what is the first thing that comes to your mind?". According to the results, Europeans agree that food and landscapes are what stands out the most, such as ceviche, ayahuasca, pisco sour, Machu Picchu, Cuzco, ají de pollo, but some mentioned them incorrectly.

On the other hand, other foreigners mentioned that the women are beautiful, but "they're all the same", the past protests and change of presidents, and the national football team.

Reaction to a Comment

Despite all the comments expressed, the one that surprised thousands of users the most, and the one they didn't miss the opportunity to respond to, was the appreciation of a young man who said that Peruvians "eat pigeons".

"Where do they get the idea that we eat pigeons in Peru", "First time I hear that we eat pigeons", "That thing about eating pigeons sounds mean", "I'm Peruvian and I'm shocked, many have a mistaken concept", "Spaniards answering without thinking", were some of the most curious reactions to the publication.
