As it is known, Gerard Piqué is said to be in talks with his lawyers to seek penalties for the artist behind the "Waka Waka". The reason being that he was not asked for consent for their children to appear in the latest music video. Shakira, on the other hand, broke her silence and revealed whose idea it was to include the minors in the audiovisual material.

In a post on her social media, the Colombian singer shared a message stating that she did not plan for the children to appear. The music video for 'Acrostic' has already reached over 57 million views on YouTube and has been trending since its release.

Shakira delivered a message to clarify why her children Sasha and Milan appeared in the music video for 'Acrostic', following a possible lawsuit from her ex-partner Gerard Piqué, who is reportedly very upset because it was done without his authorization.

On her Instagram, the Colombian singer explained that her children wanted to be part of this project, as one of them composed the lyrics and the other participated in the instrumental. Therefore, both were very involved by their own choice.

"This year (one of her children) has written songs that brought tears of emotion to my eyes, and (the other little one) has spent hours on the piano, discovering his voice. Both have been by my side in the studio, and when they heard this song dedicated to them, they asked to be a part of it," the artist expressed.

In the same vein, Shakira revealed that everyone contributed a little piece of their feelings to the song and that she is proud of her little ones and how they continue to grow.

"They have felt and interpreted it themselves, with the passion and feeling that music carries within. It is so beautiful to see how they spread their wings to begin fulfilling their dreams. There is nothing that makes me feel more fulfilled than being their mother," the Colombian singer declared.
