The motivational message was dedicated to a special recipient: Peruvian women and girls.
"This was a very special dream I had, and I would like to dedicate all of this to my fellow countrymen, but more importantly, to all the Peruvian women and girls. I want to tell them that dreams do come true, that it is possible, and that everything they desire can be achieved," said the Peruvian woman on May 20, one day after reaching the summit of Everest.
Silvia Vásquez-Lavado reached the highest point on Earth this Thursday at around 6 am Peruvian time, along with a group of over 150 people from different nationalities.
