Chivas defeated América 3-1 on Sunday, May 21, 2023, in the Liguilla of the Clausura Tournament of Liga MX at the Azteca Stadium. The 'Rebaño' was at a disadvantage in the second leg of the semifinals, since it lost by a minimal difference at the Akron stadium.
Ronaldo Cisneros showed Chivas the way by scoring at the 19th minute, thus giving the 'Rebaño' an advantage at halftime.
In the second half, Diego Valdés would score the equalizer for the 'Águilas', but then, Alan Mozo and Jesús Orozco would give the victory and the pass to the final to Chivas, who will face Tigres on Thursday, May 25th and Sunday, May 28th.
