A few days before matchday three of the group stage of the Copa Libertadores, Conmebol surprised thousands of fans by announcing a change of stadium for the match between Melgar vs Patronato in Group H of the tournament.
The match was scheduled to take place at the Estadio Brigadier General Estanislao López in Santa Fe, Argentina. Patronato could not play at their own stadium, but now they have the support of Conmebol to give their fans a pleasant surprise.
Melgar had planned to travel to Santa Fe for this Libertadores match, but now the logistics will change as they aim for three points on Argentine soil. The Arequipa team will play at the Estadio Presbítero Bartolomé Grella, located in Paraná, Entre Ríos, Argentina.
