Alliance Lima
Alliance Lima is living a dream moment in the Copa Libertadores 2023 by achieving its first victory in this edition and after 11 years of drought against Libertad on the road, a result that leaves the team in a good position after two matches played.
The team led by Guillermo Salas has taken the lead in their group for the first time since 2010 at the end of matchday 2 of the continent's most important club tournament. This, added to their good performance in the Liga 1, puts them at the top in both competitions.
The 'blanquiazul' team did not miss the opportunity to continue enjoying the victory on April 20 and used their official Twitter account to show their pride in being Alianza fans.
"Good morning, leaders! It's beautiful to be part of Alianza!", the 'íntimos' posted with images of their players celebrating in different ways the breakthrough they made on Paraguayan soil.

Conmebol published on the competition's social media the selection of the Copa Libertadores 'Team of the Week', an alignment in which Pablo Sabbag appears, who stood out and contributed with the second goal of the victory.
The next challenge will be in Brazil
Alianza Lima will now focus on maintaining the lead in the local championship, but on Wednesday, May 3, they will return to action in the 'Eternal Glory', when they face Atlético Mineiro in Brazil, the bottom team of the group without any points.
