Alianza Lima gave its fans a good victory. Last Saturday night, they defeated Cantolao 3-0 in a crowded Matute stadium. Bryan Reyna, Hernán Barcos, and Pablo Sabbag scored the goals for the blanquiazul team. The latter scored one of the best goals so far in the Torneo Apertura of Liga 1 Betsson 2023.
Sabbag made an impressive turn to perform a 'chalaca' that ended up inside the goal defended by Argentine Christian Limousin, who couldn't do anything against this finish that caused a lot of talk. Through his social media, the 'Jeque' shared more about the goal, but also mentioned when he got injured a few days after joining Alianza.
The former Tondela and Estudiantes de La Plata player showed unpublished images of his injury in Alianza's practice last January. In the video, he also made it clear that this injury was a motivation to come back stronger.
"Consistency and discipline: Three months ago, I suffered an elbow injury from a similar play to the goal, but I never let this affect me. I always said I would try it again," said the 25-year-old forward in the beginning of his message.
"That's what it's all about, being consistent in our efforts to achieve our goals," he added.
