The viral video was shared from the @TOIWestUP account on Twitter, showing the bride dressed in lavish clothes typical of that culture who raises her right arm holding the firearm, while her left arm serves as support, while her future husband tries to pretend a visible expression of discomfort.

The wedding took place in the municipality of Hatras, Uttar Pradesh state, on Friday, April 7th at night, where Ragni, the 23-year-old girl, escaped from the wedding after the four shots were fired after the exchange of garlands, thinking that this action would lead to her arrest.

On the other hand, authorities are trying to identify the mysterious man who gave the gun to the bride before escaping from the ceremony: "the matter is being thoroughly investigated... the bride had fled for fear of being arrested," said Ashok Kumar, local police superintendent.
