Official. Boca Juniors announced its new coach following the departure of Hugo Ibarra. It is Jorge Almirón, a 51-year-old Argentinean coach who comes from leading Elche in LaLiga Santander in Spain.
"Jorge Almirón will be on the field with Boca against Colón, as expected. Some final aspects of his contract were closed today (it will be for one year with a exit clause in December due to elections). He will take charge on Monday," journalist César Luis Merlo reported last Sunday.
Now, on this Monday, April 10, Boca Juniors made the announcement to all its fans. "Jorge Almirón, welcome home," the 'Xeneize' team posted on social media.

It is worth mentioning that Jorge Almirón has experience coaching in Argentinean football, as he has been in charge of Lanús, San Lorenzo, Independiente, Godoy Cruz, and Defensa y Justicia.
