With the 76th Ordinary Congress held in Paraguay, Conmebol presented the 18 stadiums where the 2030 World Cup would be played if their bid for hosting this mega event is successful and approved by FIFA.
Without further words or speeches, Alejandro Domínguez, president of the South American soccer confederation, presented a video detailing the sports venues.
Remember that with the increase in slots from the 2026 World Cup (from 32 to 48), the total number of matches to be played will be 104.
Argentina will contribute the highest number of stadiums, with seven, followed by Paraguay with five, Uruguay with three, and Chile also with three.
However, among the chosen venues, fans noticed the absence of an iconic stadium. It is the Alberto J. Armando Stadium, better known as 'La Bombonera'. Just like in the 1978 World Cup, Boca Juniors' stadium will not be a venue.
