The Paraguayan National Team officially announced the schedule it will have in the U17 South American Championship, which will start at the end of March in Ecuadorian territory and where the Albirroja will have as opponents in the group stage the teams of Venezuela, Peru, Bolivia, and Argentina.

The team led by Aldo Bobadilla, who will have a bye in the first match of Group B, will debut on Sunday, April 2, against Venezuela at the George Capwell Stadium in Guayaquil. The start of the match is scheduled for 16:30 in Ecuador. It is worth remembering that currently, there are two hours of difference with the city of Guayaquil, however, the time changes in Paraguay this Sunday, March 26, so the match will be at 15:30 in our country.

The matches against Peru and Argentina will also be at the George Capwell Stadium, while they will face Bolivia at the Christian Benitez Stadium, also in Guayaquil.

The top three teams in their respective groups will advance to the final hexagonal of the competition. There are 4 spots for the category's World Cup that will be held in Peru this year.

The coach of the Paraguayan National Football Team, Guillermo Barros Schelotto, is having a special week as he gathered with the boys at Albiróga in Ypané after a long time in order to enhance some football concepts for the upcoming challenges.

In an interview with the press, Boca Juniors defender Bruno Valdez pointed out the need to correct past mistakes, recover the identity of Paraguayan football, and give every last drop of sweat for the cause; return Paraguay to a World Cup.

"The objective was to have several days of training. The group is very humble, hardworking, we know the importance of what lies ahead, we have a clear objective and that's what we are going to pursue," he said in the mixed zone.

"The idea is to keep working, keep correcting the mistakes we made in the previous qualifiers, in past competitions, and always have the hope of being able to achieve the goal, which is to go to the World Cup, playing well, doing what the coach wants, having the determination that we always had, and achieving the important goal that we are all seeking," he added.

The "Chino" also described a bit about what the current coaching staff of the Albirroja led by Guillermo Barros Schelotto wants.

"He insists a lot on winning duels, trying to stay very close together, from 30 to 25 meters from the team. Then, when it's our turn to attack, let the forwards solve it and let them know that they are well covered at the back and that the opponents find it difficult to face Paraguay," he emphasized.

"Proud to be back with the group, with the National Team, one always wants to be here, represent the country, and the truth is that I am very happy," concluded the 30-year-old defender.
