Cyclone Yaku affects Peruvian coast
Thousands of people are affected by the huaicos and rains caused by the Cyclone Yaku that hit the Peruvian coast. However, a young influencer became viral on social media after showing how a huaico affected his district. Along with other residents of the beach area, including actress Leslie Stewart, they made peculiar requests to the State.
In the video shared on TikTok, the young man and a group of neighbors can be seen cleaning the streets after the huaico passed through the area, but they also requested support from local authorities and the State.
"We are here, working since early morning, removing all the mud from the flooded houses. We have a great team supporting us. But where is the Municipality of Punta Hermosa? All the residents are here helping, but the municipality doesn't even show up," he said.
"Please, donations of sunscreen, even the girls listening to us are asking for sunscreen," he was heard saying, which caused the content to have over a million views on the popular video social network.
Also, actress Leslie Stewart appears in the video asking for "shovels, buckets" to remove the mud from the place. "How am I supposed to support you, man, if I've been eating instant noodles for a week?", "The rich also cry," "Will they also ask for sunglasses?" are some of the reactions.
