The La Corregidora Stadium in Querétaro has approval for reopening
The La Corregidora Stadium in Querétaro has received approval from the state authorities to reopen after meeting the requirements. The club announced on Thursday that they will be able to welcome fans back after one year of the incident in the Liga MX stadium.
The Gallos Blancos team confirmed through a statement that fans will be allowed to return to the stadium for the match against Juárez Bravos, corresponding to matchday 12 of Clausura 2023.
"Club Querétaro announces that they have successfully fulfilled the protocols, procedures, and specifications outlined by Liga MX and the State Government for the reopening of the La Corregidora Stadium," the team announced.
Last week marked the end of the one-year ban on the stadium due to the scuffle between supporters of Querétaro and Atlas in the Liga MX.
Although the ban was lifted before matchday 10 of Clausura 2023, the Querétaro team did not have the approval from the Liga or the state government to have fans in the stands against Toluca.
The Gallos Blancos team also stated that the use of Fan ID will be mandatory for entry into the stadium.
