2016 Elections: Carlos Melendez analyzes recent voting simulation results

GFK voting simulation shows Kuczynski with 43.3% and Keiko Fujimori with 43.1%.

The political scientist Carlos Melendez analyzed the results of the GFK voting simulation, which shows a technical tie between Pedro Pablo Kuczynski and Keiko Fujimori, in the face of the second round on June 5th.

According to Melendez, this tie demonstrates that there is indecision between the two candidates and it's not that one has an advantage over the other. In the face of this, he argues that the rival's mistake will prevail, as there is little room for any candidate to bring something new.

Similarly, the political scientist analyzed the events protagonized in the last few weeks by both candidates. On one hand, he commented on Kuczynski's trip to the United States, and on the other, the quarrel between Kenji and Keiko Fujimori. "Those types of mistakes have managed to neutralize each other," Carlos Melendez said during his interview on BDP.
