Coach Alberto Gamero has called up 23 players for the match against Atletico Mineiro on Wednesday, in the first leg of the third phase in the Copa Libertadores, which will determine the team that advances to the group stage. Millonarios, who had called up 21 players against Universidad Catolica, included two young players this time.
These are midfielder Nicolas Arevalo and forward Edgar Guerra, who are the only new additions to Gamero's list to face the Brazilians. The coach included them to have other options against the opponents. The rest of the squad will be the same that made it to this stage of the Libertadores.
The possible lineup for Millonarios against Mineiro would be with Alvaro Montero in goal; in defense Elvis Perlaza, Andres Llinas, Juan Pablo Vargas, and Omar Bertel. In the midfield, Daniel Giraldo and Larry Vasquez, and up front the trident formed by Oscar Cortes, David Macalister Silva, and Daniel Catano. As the lone striker, Leo Castro.
