Cruz Azul Directive
The directive of Cruz Azul does not want to make the mistakes of the past, so after the dismissal of Raúl Gutiérrez, the blue leadership is looking for a strategist who meets at least three essential requirements.
The first one is that they need a strategist who knows the Liga MX perfectly, and therefore its players. The second characteristic is that it must be a leader coach on and off the field and be tough inside the dressing room. And the third and last point, which is essential, is that the strategist must be a winner. Yes, within his resume, he must possess at least two Liga MX titles, so Ricardo Ferretti is one of the candidates to lead La Máquina.
Today, the president of the blues, Víctor Velázquez, and the sports director Óscar 'Conejo' Pérez received at the Cruz Azul Cooperative offices in Mexico City Tuca Ferretti, who presented them a project. This project is not only based on obtaining the highest possible number of points to recover the prominence and greatness of La Máquina to qualify for the playoffs of this Clausura 2023, but the project presented by Ferretti is long-term considering the arrival of quality reinforcements, especially in specific areas such as defense and attack.
The Ferretti project was well received by the leaders, who are excited, especially because the Tuca has won seven Liga MX titles in his more than 30 years of coaching career.
The last club Ferretti led was Bravos de Juárez, a team he couldn't lift, so now he is looking for his revenge and what better opportunity than with a big team like Cruz Azul.
Now the directors of Cruz Azul will analyze Ricardo Ferretti's economic requirements and interview the other coaches such as: Antonio Mohamed, José Manuel 'Chepo' de la Torre, and Jaime Lozano, who will attend the cooperative offices in the upcoming days to present their projects.
For the moment, Joaquín Moreno will be the interim coach to lead the match next Friday against Puebla at the Cuauhtémoc stadium.
