This revelation was made known in an interview with former footballer Luis Guadalupe, to whom he said that Deportivo Wanka (the team he was in) had asked the Rímac team that if they wanted to have him on their team, they only had to give them balls.
The 'Mudo' revealed that he learned about this negotiation from coach Gallardo, but he doubts this theory because he doesn't know if someone from that team actually received any money for his transfer.
"When I was in the youth team, I was in Deportivo Wanka and Sporting Cristal made a trade, they told me that they only gave us soccer balls and Gallardo told me that. The club told Cristal to give them balls for me and they didn't hesitate, they even gave them double. Well, that's what I understand, I don't know if someone had any share because they told me they didn't pay anything," he said in 'La Fe del Cuto'.
Furthermore, Alberto Rodríguez also thought that Deportivo Wanka would receive a percentage of money every time he signed with a team, but until now he doesn't know if this scenario actually happened or if the words were just empty.
"I think that when I started my career, they should have had a training percentage, but the truth is I don't know if they actually received it. I only know that they agreed on that arrangement and that's it. Nothing ever reached my pockets," he explained.
