San Antonio Spurs rookie Jeremy Sochan ruled out with lower back soreness

The San Antonio Spurs have announced that rookie Jeremy Sochan will not be playing in Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons due to lower back soreness. This will be the fourth consecutive game that Sochan has missed because of the injury. Initially listed as questionable, Sochan participated in shootaround with the team but was eventually downgraded on the injury report.

The injury is not considered serious as Sochan has been seen doing on-court work and other cardio exercises before games. It is expected that he will be able to return to the lineup in the next game or two.

Sochan was selected to the NBA Rising Stars game along with 10 other rookies. He has been averaging 9.9 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 3.5 assists this season. Sochan is one of only four rookies to have achieved at least 400 points, 200 rebounds, and 100 assists.

The injury is not expected to prevent Sochan from participating in the annual showcase. He is thrilled to have earned the opportunity after his productive rookie campaign. Sochan, who grew up in England, has been a fan of the game and has watched the Rising Stars game for many years.
