Both stars of their teams in the Arab League shared moments together before and during the match they played as a team against Lionel Messi's PSG on January 19th.
On January 19th, an unprecedented encounter took place, the match between PSG and Riyadh All Star, the latter being a combination of the Arab League teams Al Hilal and Al Nassr, on this occasion, the Peruvian André Carrillo and the Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo were together on the same team.
Precisely, through images, both were seen together during training sessions and activities before and during the match, however, it was always in doubt what the two players talked about or shared, a mystery that was solved by the Peruvian player's own father.
Alex Carrillo, 'La Culebra's father, revealed the details of that meeting held in the mentioned match, stating that his son told him that Cristiano Ronaldo even joked with him at one point. "He told me that Cristiano Ronaldo said 'Oh, you've been here for several years!' (laughs). He told me that he is a simple guy, a great guy, very humble," Alex Carrillo said in an interview with radio Sound Play.
Similarly, he mentioned that André had the opportunity to take his children to see the Al Nassr star and other international players. "He even told me that during those days he took my grandchildren, and they took pictures with Cristiano Ronaldo. But it's not just Cristiano Ronaldo, there's also Luíz Gustavo (Al Nassr) who played in Germany, Gustavo Cuéllar from Flamengo and the Colombian national team, and Cristian Tello (Al Fateh) who was in the Spanish national team!" he said.
Alex Carrillo took the opportunity to comment on his son's participation in the Club World Cup semi-final, where he confirmed that he was injured at the time of the match. "We communicate every day. If they don't know or someone doesn't know, he (Carrillo) played injured against Flamengo and they even infiltrated him. Also, the coach always positions him as a forward midfielder, but this time further back. It seemed to me that it was so that the team has more ball control, that's what we have perceived," he revealed.
Although it was known that he could not train for the final on Saturday, 'La Culebra's father expressed his wish for him to recover and participate in such an important event against Real Madrid. "He is still injured, he is not training normally, he has not trained with all his teammates. He is undergoing therapy and eagerly awaiting the match on Saturday. Anything can happen in this world. Let's hope for a great surprise that day," he said, adding that the player is currently doing exercises in his hotel, in order to arrive in optimal condition for Saturday.
