As we remember, the Peruvian team was tied 1-1 with the Paraguayan team and at the 95th minute Ronal Huaccha appeared to score the second goal and seal the match, after a great team play. And after that, Pedro Sarabia indicated that Sport Huancayo was able to win because of the 3,249 meters above sea level that the city has.
"I would have liked to have ended with a better result. We consider that the opponent took advantage of altitude. We are a team that presses up, that tries to play with the ball and we knew that we would encounter the difficulty of the lack of oxygen. It's football, that's how it is. We have the rematch at home and the obligation to improve," said the coach of Nacional.
Likewise, Pedro Sarabia indicated that it was difficult for them to gather information about Sport Huancayo because they had not played any official matches, due to the problems in the country and the League 1. "We couldn't gather information because they were inactive, but we tried to implement what we are used to playing. We couldn't do it because of the altitude and because the opponent controlled the ball well," added the coach.
Sport Huancayo defeated Nacional 2-1.
