The Alianza Lima delegate confirmed that they will not stay with their arms crossed and will seek a way to reverse the decision made by the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF) in the last few hours.

Last Sunday, Alianza Lima had to visit Sporting Cristal for the third matchday of the Opening Tournament of Liga 1. However, the position taken by Alianza Lima, against the Cautelar Measure requested by the Peruvian Football Federation (FPF), led them to not show up for the match against Sporting Cristal, as they had previously stated in a statement, along with Melgar, Cienciano, Binacional, Cusco FC, Sport Boys and Deportivo Municipal.

In that sense, the corresponding areas of the highest entity of Peruvian football decided to officially award the victory to Sporting Cristal by a score of 3-0, as a result of a 'walkover' at the Alberto Gallardo Stadium. In response, Héctor Ordóñez, delegate of Alianza Lima, decided to raise his voice in protest.

"The Disciplinary Commission of FPF notified us today that the match against Sporting Cristal is a W.O. (we will appeal). I applaud this speed because the matchday has not yet ended, which will be today," said the spokesperson for Alianza Lima on his Twitter account.

In addition, the spokesperson for the current Peruvian football champion added that "today is the meeting with the FPF. Would it be good to try to come to an agreement now with alleged sanctions?", questioning the climate with which Alianza Lima will approach the conversation with the national entity.

Alianza Lima has also been fined

The CD-FPF issued a resolution in which it ruled that Alianza Lima was sanctioned for not showing up for the match against Sporting Cristal with a significant financial fine, which must be assumed by the institution.

In the resolution communicated by the entity of Peruvian football, it was decided to impose "a fine equivalent to the value of thirty (30) Tax Units (UIT), valid for the year 2023″.
