After successfully passing the medical and physical tests, Diego Lainez is now a new player for Tigres for the Clausura 2023 and the Concacaf Champions League in search of once again reaching the Club World Cup.
The Mexican arrived in the city on Sunday to complete the final steps of his incorporation into the club. He initially joins on a one-year loan with a mandatory purchase option for 7 million euros.
"Very happy, very excited, looking forward to the project, fully committed to the team, and hopefully I can start working soon, which is what I want the most. Tigres' project is always interesting, there has always been interest from Mauricio (Culebro), I have known him for a long time, they have always been there with interest since I practically went to Europe and I am very happy," he said on Sunday upon arrival at the Monterrey International Airport.

Shortly after 3:00 p.m., first Betis thanked the Mexican international and Olympic medalist through their social networks, and then Tigres also welcomed him on their different platforms.
This Monday, Diego Lainez went this morning to carry out his physical tests at the facilities of the Faculty of Sports Organization at UANL, causing "madness" among FOD students and students from other faculties who caused crowds in search of a selfie or video of the moment.
The Mexican player, the last reinforcement for the Clausura 2023 and the Concacaf Champions League, arrived at FOD around 9:00 a.m. and upon arrival at the Human Performance Laboratory, he greeted dozens of students who were already waiting for him to record him with their cell phones.
Welcome to #PerfilTigre, @DiegoLainez10!

About an hour later, many students who were outside the classrooms shouted at him to pose for photos and videos, to which the player responded by raising his left arm.
As he was heading towards the exit, a student ran and jumped into the hallway in search of a selfie, but was stopped in his tracks by the security of the faculty. On his way to the parking lot, many more students were waiting, causing the security of Tigres and UANL to clear a path through the crowd.
"Oé, Oé, Oé, Factor, Factor!" were the chants of the young people who wanted to capture the memorable images, but they were unable to make him stop. As he continued moving forward, they took the pictures.
Finally, the player made his way through the crowd towards the concentration hotel, and later, once the exam results are available, he will officially sign his contract as a new player for the Tigres club.
