He didn't stay silent. Paolo Guerrero took advantage of the moment he had with the Argentine press during his presentation with Racing to respond forcefully to Avaí FC's doctor, Luis Fernando Funchal, who issued a warning to the Argentine team about the minutes that the 'Predator' can play.

The doctor of the Florianópolis team claimed that Paolo Guerrero could only play for 60 minutes due to his advanced age and the injuries he had throughout his career, but the forward clarified a couple of things regarding the treatment he received during his time at Avaí FC.
"I come with football work. The physical aspect is important to me. I couldn't prepare myself in the four months I was at the last team (Avaí FC), I only had one week of training, after not having played in October 2021, I had surgery in February, then I was training, but it's not the same to do it with a team as it is to do it alone," said Guerrero, hinting that his return in the Brasileirao was rushed.
Paolo Guerrero: "Today I prioritize preparing well"
The goalscorer acknowledged that he couldn't do physical conditioning at Avaí FC. "I started playing again in July, so a lot of time passed, I trained for a week and they already put me to play because the championship was already in progress. So I couldn't prepare well, I didn't have a proper pre-season, so that's what I'm prioritizing today, preparing well to be able to give my all on the field," he commented.

What did Avaí FC's doctor say about Paolo Guerrero?
Although it is true that Luis Fernando Funchal stated that the 'Predator' finished his contract at Avaí FC without any serious injuries, as had been speculated in recent days in Florianópolis, he also made a controversial comment. "Paolo Guerrero is fine, the discomforts he had are completely treated," said the Brazilian to El Comercio newspaper.
His projection of what Paolo Guerrero could play is what worried Racing's fans the most. "Guerrero cannot play 90 minutes, and that's because of his age. I think he's a player for a maximum of 60 minutes of good play," he declared.
This situation limited the goalscorer since before his last stage at Internacional de Porto Alegre, and the medical staff explained to the Technical Command of the 'Lion of the Island' about this characteristic that they didn't know how to manage. "We didn't know how to use him correctly here in Brazil," he admitted in an attack of sincerity.
