Nintendo Switch: Sudden temperature changes could end up breaking the console.

Nintendo has informed Nintendo Switch users that sudden weather changes and low temperatures can cause condensation in the device and damage it, so it has explained the procedure to prevent this from happening.

Condensation is the process by which matter in the gaseous state changes to the liquid state due to temperature alteration, so small water droplets can accumulate on certain surfaces.

The Japanese company has not provided details about how this change of matter occurs in its console, but it has shared an image showing water droplets on the Nintendo Switch screen, warning that this may affect the device's display.

If this phenomenon occurs, Nintendo recommends turning off the device and "placing it in a warm room until the water droplets dry up", as stated through Twitter.

To power off the machine and avoid the risk of damage, you should press and hold the power button for about three seconds to show the power menu. To power it off completely, select 'Power Options' and then 'Power Off'.

Nintendo has reminded users to save the software before turning off the console, as any unsaved data will be lost.
