It was journalist Jonathan Cheng of The Wall Street Journal who revealed this information through his social media accounts, informing that not only Siucho, but also footballer Ricardo Goulart, have requested renouncing their Chinese nationalities.
When they tried to obtain Chinese nationality, these players were considered young promises for Chinese football, but unfortunately they did not excel.
"Two naturalized players, Ricardo Goulart, born in Brazil, and Roberto Siucho Neira, from Peru, have requested to renounce their Chinese nationalities. Both signed as young promises, but left during the pandemic when the Chinese Super League went into crisis", he wrote on his Twitter account.
