One of the news that saddened Sporting Cristal fans at the beginning of 2023 was the absence of Alejandro Duarte. A collarbone fracture will keep him off the field for several months and now the ideal replacement for the Liga 1 and Copa Libertadores is being questioned.

After confirming the months of absence for this season, one of the big questions has been about his replacement to face the Liga 1 and Copa Libertadores. In the first instance, Tiago Nunes made it clear that he trusts Emile Franco for the 2023 edition, but there is a player who has experience at 20 years old.
This is Diego Enríquez, a goalkeeper who is loaned to Binacional but belongs to Sporting Cristal. In fact, the player himself asked to stay in the Juliaca team so as not to lose the continuity he had achieved in 2022.
Now, in an interview with Ovación, the goalkeeper made it clear that Sporting Cristal has not communicated with him, so he is focused on preparing himself fully with his Binacional teammates.
"There has been no approach from Cristal to me, the fans are asking me to return to the club, but I am only focused on Binacional," Diego Enríquez told Ovación.
Furthermore, Enríquez indicated that he is very grateful to Binacional for the trust they have given him since his first day on the team. He says he is happy in Juliaca and will continue to follow Wilmar Valencia's orders.
"I am very grateful to Binacional for trusting me and giving me the regularity I have been having, I am very happy to be here. We are having a great preseason in Arequipa, especially with the reinforcements that have arrived," he added.
What is the value of Diego Enríquez?
According to the "Transfermarkt" portal, Diego Enríquez has a value of 425,000 euros at 20 years of age.
