This Sunday, the Atlas team will be visiting the Queretaro squad, in what marks the return of the Zorros to La Corregidora after the acts of violence that occurred in March of last year.
To avoid any setbacks, Atlas, Gallos, Public Security of the State, and Liga MX will coordinate a security operation to safeguard the Zorros from their arrival in Queretaro and their return to Guadalajara.
It is worth remembering that the investigations regarding this case continue and efforts are being made for those responsible for the situation that left more than 15 injured, some seriously, to be held accountable for their crimes.
The match between Atlas and Queretaro, however, will be played behind closed doors due to the current ban on La Corregidora stadium precisely because of this incident, which includes one year of playing without a crowd.
This match already had precedents of problems between the fan groups of both teams; however, it was not until last year's events that authorities and members of Mexican football took action on the matter.
