Bruno loses patience:

The Portuguese forward of Manchester United clarified on his social media some statements he made after the victory against Manchester City in the Premier League derby.

The Portuguese forward of Manchester United clarified on his social media some statements he made after the victory against Manchester City in the Premier League derby.

You can't doubt that Bruno Fernandes was one of the main protagonists in Manchester United's (2-1) victory over Manchester City in the Premier League. The Portuguese forward scored the equalizing goal and set up the comeback at Old Trafford. However, Fernandes' prominence was not only on the field, but also off it. The player made some statements that sounded like a 'dig' at Cristiano Ronaldo, something he had to clarify on his social media.

"Now we are playing as a team. A few months ago, some players were playing alone, for themselves. Now we do it to help each other," said Fernandes in the mixed zone after the victory against City. The Portuguese's words were taken by the press and fans as a dart at his former teammate.

The controversy that arose on social media because of his statements forced Bruno to clarify the issue. In an Instagram story, the Portuguese asked that his name not be used to attack Cristiano Ronaldo. According to the Portuguese, it is an attempt by the press to diminish the good work that Manchester United has been doing.

"Thanks to some for posting exactly the words I said. It's hard to see Manchester United do well and they have nothing to talk about us other than good things! Don't use my name to try to attack Cristiano! Cristiano was part of our team for half a season and as I have said in many interviews since Liverpool, he has been amazing and acting as a team, you can see the results of it. Let's go on!" he wrote in response.

It's worth remembering that Manchester United has accumulated nine victories in all competitions after the match against Pep Guardiola's team, a situation that leaves the Portuguese midfielder calm about the squad's level this season.

Bruno Fernandes has been a key player for United since arriving from Sporting CP, scoring 38 goals and registering 28 assists in 104 appearances in the Premier League. Can the 'Red Devils' catch up with Arsenal?
