The news of the possible signing of the well-known 'Predator' has surprised fans of 'La Academia' who have expressed divided opinions.
Last Tuesday, it was confirmed that Racing de Avellaneda has shown interest in the forward and former captain of the Peruvian national team, Paolo Guerrero, to join their club in the 2023 season, according to information from the sports director of 'La Academia', Ruben Capria.
Once the news became known and was shared on social media, many fans of the legendary Argentine team gave their opinion when they found out that the 39-year-old forward, who left Avaí in Brazil relegated, could wear the shirt of the team known as 'El primer grande'.
What did they say? Well, many fans expressed their discontent with 'La Academia' for showing interest in a player they consider to be a signing that, due to his age, would not be at the level of the Argentine football league, especially in a tournament as competitive as the Copa Libertadores.
Like the criticisms, another group defended his signing, pointing out that Racing needs an experienced player, given that Guerrero has played for clubs such as Bayern Munich, Flamengo, among others.
