We are a few days away from the official presentation of Alianza Lima at the famous Tarde Blanquiazul 2023, which will take place on Sunday, January 8. Fans have already sold out the tickets for this event, which is customary before the start of each season. One of the most remembered in recent years was the 2020 edition, when footballer Cristian Zúñiga put on a show at said event.

The Colombian striker arrived as one of the star players to that team, which was led by Pablo Bengoechea. The popular 'Atrevido' was brought in to be the scorer for the club, as he had been the top scorer in the Torneo Apertura of the Liga de Panamá. However, his time in Peruvian football lasted only nine months, as he left in the middle of 2020 without scoring any goals. What happened to Cristian Zúñiga?

What happened to Cristian Zúñiga?

On October 2020, Cristian Zúñiga left Alianza Lima to play for San Francisco FC. One year later (2021), he signed for the Potros del Este in the Panamanian league.

When there were not many records of him, a few days ago, he surprised everyone by being signed by Municipal Pérez Zeledón to play in the Liga Promerica 2023.

"I hope to take advantage of the opportunities that are given to me. I come to fight, just like the Warriors of the South. The important thing is to fill myself with a lot of motivation. I come to fight. I can play as a second striker, as a number nine, as a winger. I am fast, I can contribute on the wings. Even as a full-back," Zúñiga declared to the club's website.
