Jean Ferrari, administrator of the 'merengue' institution, was once again asked about the forward of the Peruvian National Team and surprised by not ruling him out, stating that they would discuss it if Manuel Barreto chooses to sign him. However, he clarified that at the moment there is nothing.

"Regarding the sports issue, Manuel Barreto keeps me informed and will surely tell me if it is a possibility. At the moment, we haven't talked about anything," he emphasized in an interview with GOLPERÚ.

Likewise, Ferrari did not hide that Alex Valera is an interesting element: "I have not been aware of his current situation. Obviously an attractive player for any team."

On his part, the 26-year-old striker did not rule out returning to wear the colors of Universitario, despite his departure amidst controversy when the club refused to let him leave due to his performance in the past season of the Liga 1.

"I will go wherever I am wanted, if 'U' calls me, or whoever calls me, I will go because I am a footballer and that's what I do... Nothing ends, I have to keep preparing. I will keep working. I am calm. Everything is difficult but I have to keep moving forward," he expressed upon his return to Peru.
