El Club Cienciano held its last practice at the Centro de Alto Rendimiento del Always Ready in La Paz, Bolivia. After that, 'El Papá' will return to Peru. First, it will arrive in the capital Lima, where it will have a few days of rest, and then it will head back to the city of Cusco. This was announced by the Cienciano Press Department.
The Cusco team, led by Colombian Leonel Álvarez, had planned to play a practice match before leaving Bolivia for Peru; however, this possibility was frustrated due to a lack of opponent. For this reason, as detailed, the Cusco squad will return to Peruvian soil at midnight on Wednesday. They will concentrate a good number of players in Lima and undergo medical control evaluations.

Cienciano will resume training on Thursday and Friday in Cieneguilla. Subsequently, starting on December 26, they will do so in Cusco, until the start of the tournament. During that time, it is planned to play some friendly matches to continue with the preseason and adaptation to the altitude to face the 2023 campaign.
On the other hand, it was confirmed that on January 8th, the so-called 'Tarde del Papá' will take place at the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega stadium, where the imperial team will be presented to the Cusco society and Deportivo Magallanes, who are the current champions of the Chilean Cup.
