Cesaro is the official challenger for the Intercontinental Championship

The Miz already knows the name of the next contender for his Intercontinental Championship and it is not the former champions Zack Ryder or Kevin Owens, but the Swiss Cesaro, who has been on a winning streak since his return last week.

The situation happened after Kevin Owens confronted Shane McMahon, who was in control of Monday Night Raw's edition today, April 11, to complain about the opportunities he gave to Sami Zayn and position himself as a victim of the odds both in the past Raw and in WrestleMania 32, followed by which he demanded to have his rematch for the Intercontinental Championship tonight.

Shane O'Mac did not like the attitude of the Canadian and told him that, considering his losing streak, he had to earn his opportunity for the Intercontinental Championship again, thus declaring an immediate match between Owens and Cesaro.

The match was as intense as the previous ones between both athletes, with the addition that Cesaro has just returned from complex shoulder surgery and Owens focused his attack on that area. In the end, it was the Neutralizer that gave the victory to the "Swiss Superman" and secured him an opportunity for the intercontinental title.

Cesaro found a moment to confront The Miz and Maryse backstage, but their confrontation will not happen until May 1st at Payback.
